Pate currently serves as President of Career Sports Entertainment, and has extensive experience in telecommunications. Pate served as Chief Marketing Officer of BellSouth's Retail Markets, a multi-billon dollar division that provided voice, Internet, entertainment and wireless products and services to consumers and small businesses. Prior to joining BellSouth in 1996, Pate was a marketing executive with MCI. His marketing programs have been recognized by numerous organizations, including the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators and Advertising Age. In addition, Pate has held many leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of the Chick-fil-A Bowl and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is currently Chairman of the Atlanta Sports Council and is a member of the Georgia State University Board of Trustees.
